Welcome to the webpage of the University of Miami’s Geodesy Laboratory! We are located within the Department of Marine Geoscience and led by Falk Amelung.

We use space geodetic and other geophysical data to investigate active processes within the Earth’s crust related to volcanism and tectonics as well as hydrological processes that cause displacements of the Earth’s surface.

Our research is supported by NASA, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.
